The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 vs. the Lexus RX

  • Power. Hands down, drivers who get behind the wheel of the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 will enjoy a more thrilling ride, thanks to the standard engine, a twin turbo V6 with 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Comparatively, the Lexus RX standard engine is a 3.5-liter V6 rated for 295 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque.
  • Size and Space. The Mercedes-Benz SUV is larger than the Lexus model, offering nine inches more in length, and five inches more in height. This translates not only to more headroom and legroom inside the Mercedes-Benz, but, also, a greater seating capacity. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 is able to seat up to seven people with its extra room and third row of seats, while the Lexus seats just five people in two rows.
  • Standard Features. Bellefonte and Tyrone, PA drivers will be pleased to know that the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 also comes with more standard tech and convenience features than the Lexus RX. Every Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 comes with a self-levelling air suspension, a power liftgate, and side mirrors that are both power-folding and dimming. Purchasing a Lexus RX will not net you these as standard features. Some are available as options, or as you move up trim levels, and some are not available at all.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 vs. the Lincoln MKX

  • Tech and Safety Features. While the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 comes standard with an incredible amount of features, the Lincoln MKX doesn't have quite as many. Drivers who choose the Lincoln SUV can get more features as they move up trim levels. However, the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 comes automatically with such things as power-folding and dimming side mirrors, a power liftgate, and the Mercedes-Benz Mbrace Connect remote vehicle access with controls you command with an app on your smartphone.
  • Engine Power and Performance. While the Lincoln MKX may offer drivers the choice between two different engines, neither of them is as powerful as the single engine option on the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450. The Lincoln is available with either a 303-horsepower V6, or a 335-horsepower V6. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, however, is powered by a 362-horsepower twin turbo V6.
  • Passenger Space. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 offers a roomy interior with three rows that can seat up to seven people. The Lincoln MKX, on the other hand, is a smaller vehicle. As such, it only seats five people in its four-door, two-row design.
